I love taking photographs and I live in a Photographers heaven. THE LAKE DISTRICT, CUMBRIA.
I have been taking photographs since I was young (along tome ago). This slowed down when I started work. Now retired this is a renewed passion. I moved to the Lake District when I retired and took up photography as a hobby and it’s taken over my life. When this becomes work I’ll stop. Hopefully never.
When I started it was film and sitting in a dark room to develop and print. It’s different everything is DIGITAL, new things to learn and although the taking process and principles haven’t changed, post production is a whole new and FASCINATING world with so much potential. One you will never stop learning.
The Lake District is one of the most amazing places on this planet and I will never run out of subject wether it be the scenery, the wildlife, lakes, monuments, rivers and becks, the amazing villages, local events and the holiday destinations, the list is never ending and all topics are fascinating in there own right.
This site will be devolving daily and the subject content is wide. It is also in most cases about driving somewhere and NOT having to walk to far. That I leave to the many people who visit here and love to walk and camp etc
